SC to decide Chisty's conditional visit to home in Karachi - NewsX

Pakistani microbiologist Mohammad Khalil Chisty may get to visit his home in Karachi soon, having spent over 20 years under a murder charge in India. The Supreme Court is to take up the proposal today, having indicated that it may allow Chisty to visit Pakistan temporarily under some conditions. The Home and External Affairs ministries have been asked to submit relevant documents on the matter. The 82-year-old Chisty who was serving a life sentence for murder in Ajmer, was granted bail by the Supreme Court last month, as a goodwill gesture during Pak President Asif Ali Zardari's visit. Remember under the bail conditions, Chisty can't leave Ajmer.
