Gold medal winning archer sells archery equipment for poverty-NewsX

Abject poverty has forced an international gold medal winning archer in Jhrakhand to sell off her world-class archery equipment for money. The Archer Nisha Rani Dutta says she can't afford a sport that can't even provide economic sustenance for her. The bow was a gift to Nisha for excelling at a sport for which she made many sacrifices .The least has been to discontinue studies to devote herself full-time to archery. Unfortunately, beyond a wishy-washy response, the Jharkhand Government has no concrete plans to take care of the state's heroes.
