India News: CBI gives clean chit to Raja Bhaiya in deputy SP murder case

India News: LUCKNOW: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday filed final report in Kunda deputy superintendent of police (DySP) Zia-ul-Haq murder case in the special CBI court. The report gave clean chit to former minister and five times independent MLA from KundaRaghurajPratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya in the DySP murder case that cost him his cabinet berth.

The DySP was killed by a mob on March 2, 2013, in Balipur village of Kunda in Pratapgarh district. Haq had gone there to control violence which erupted after village pradhan Nanhe Yadav was shot dead. Nanhe's younger brother Suresh was also killed in the violence.

Two FIRs were lodged against Raja Bhaiya in the murder case-one by Haq's widow Parveen Azad and another by station officer Hathigawan police station Manoj Shukla.
