India News: Women's safety high on priority list of Delhi Police- Bhim Sain Bassi

India News: Bhim Sain Bassi, who today took over as the chief of the Delhi Police, said the security of women would be given priority and special arrangements will be made to check incidents such as eve-teasing in buses and other areas to ensure that the feminine gender feels safe in the national capital.
"Delhi Police has always been alert as far as the security of women is concerned. Several steps have been taken for security of women especially after the 16th December (gang-rape) incident. My priority will be to ensure that it is effectively implemented so that the women feel safe," Bassi said patrolling would be intensified to create an environment of security for women.
