Pune bus driver goes on rampage; 9 killed, 27 injured

It was horror on the streets of Pune as a bus driver went on a rampage killing 9 persons and injuring 27 others. The incident happened shortly before 8 am when the Maharashtra State Transport Corporation driver Santosh Mane suddenly climbed into a Pune-Satara-Pune bus and zoomed off. Santosh on driving at a high speed on the wrong side of the road took the oncoming vehicles and people unaware. He was finally nabbed at the Dandekar flyover after he had gone through nearly 25 Km ramming over 40 stationary or moving vehicles on the road and crushing or knocking of pedestrians
