India News: A CBI officer has submitted a stunning affidavit before the Central Administrative Tribunal against DIG Mahesh Aggarwal in Chandigarh, alleging that the senior officer tried to influence the investigation in two cases involving relatives and aides of former Union railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal.
The affidavit, submitted by inspector Balbir Singh on May 15 against CBI's Chandigarh deputy inspector general Mahesh Aggarwal, who has close family links to Bansal, alleged that Aggarwal leaked crucial information on Delhi CBI team's raid at Bansal's nephew Vijay Singla's house on May 3 in connection with the Rs 10-crore railway scam.
