The Indian team for the T20 and one-day in England has just been announced and the selectors have bowled a major googly.
In a shocking move, Rahul Dravid has been brought back into the team after years of ODI wilderness. The middle order batsman last played a one-dayer in 2009 and has been out of the mix since. Sources are telling that Indian captain MS Dhoni asked the selectors to include Dravid in the squad.
Perhaps the lack of batting options in testing conditions in England has forced Dhoni to bank on The Wall again. Also, as expected the selectors have decided not to take any chances with Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh. After much deliberation, the selectors chose to leave out these players and give Rohit Sharma and Amit Mishra another chance.
The good news is that Sachin Tendulkar has also decided to play the series against England. Zaheer Khan also finds a place in the team as the selector believes he will be fit for the team.
