Mumbai's gurdwaras hold prayers for Sarabjit Singh

India News: Mumbai is over 1,400km away, but the attack on Sarabjit Singh in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat jail, which left him comatose with a critical head injury, has found sharp resonances with the 75,000-strong Sikh community in India's financial capital.

Following a special ardas prayer service for Sarabjit at Matunga's Guru Nanak Khalsa College, which saw a massive turn-out, principal Dr Ajit Singh who led the service, told dna, "While this attack on the hapless Sarabjit has rightly outraged India, we Sikhs can understand this feeling of hurt like few others.
