The number of crib deaths at the Malda Hospital in West Bengal are up to 28 with 4 more deaths over the last 24 hours.
The hosp authorities claim the infants were brought in a critical condition from the adjoining North and South Dinajpur districts with most of them suffering from malnutrition.
It is the same govt hospital which made headlines earlier too when nearly 27 crib deaths were reported at the beginning of the year.
