SC Orders Explanation of Facebook Arrests and Section 66 A

The Supreme Court has hit out over Section 66A and the arrest of the 2 girls over a facebook post.
SC has issued notice to the Centre and four state govts. on a petition filed by Shreya Singhal challenging the Constitutional validity of Section 66A of Information technology act.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Pondicherry have been asked to respond in six weeks.
Maharashtra has been asked to explain why the two girls were arrested for posting a comment on facebook and what action has been taken against the police officers who arrested the girls.
