Tom Watson: 'We dealt with anti-Semitism too late'

The deputy leader of the Labour Party has said he thought the "most shameful day" was when Luciana Berger was "bullied" out of the party by "racist thugs". Tom Watson said that he and other Labour colleagues "dealt with anti-Semitism too late and not deeply enough". Mr Watson's comments come following the suspension of Derby North MP Chris Williamson from the party for comments that the deputy leader said, "could be deemed as deliberately inflammatory".
