R. Kelly Indicted on Ten Counts of Aggravated Sexual Abuse Kelly was indicted on February 22 in Chicago, after two decades of allegations. A no-bail arrest warrant for Kelly has been approved by a Cook County judge. The R&B singer has managed to dodge charges after nearly 25 years of sexual abuse accusations. This includes a six year indictment
that ended in 2008 when he was found
not guilty on 14 charges of child pornography. These latest charges stem
from the discovery of a VHS tape showing
Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old girl. Attorney Michael Avenatti, who has been investigating Kelly for ten months, announced
the existence of the video two weeks ago. Michael Avenatti via statement. Kelly’s first court date is scheduled
for March 8 in Cook County.
