Adi Shaham creates dark, eighties influenced, synth-pop. Her music is inspired by the urban surroundings of Tel Aviv and a growing feeling of ambivalence towards the Israeli political climate. Adi’s feminist agenda is a vital element in her work which consists of vigilant social criticism regarding gender roles and male-female relationships. Adi operates within an electric trio in which she sings, plays synthesizer and a drum machine. Yuval Rozin, plays bass and synth and Sivan Dahan sings backing vocals and plays synth and sampler. Adi’s debut album “Army of Witches” was released in August 2018 and was played in every major radio station in Israel and was recently named one of the top 5 Israeli albums of the year by the daily newspaper Israel Hayom
עדי שחם היא זמרת, כותבת ויוצרת סינת’ פופ אפל ואקטיביסטי. התודעה הפמיניסטית והמפוכחת של עדי ניכרת בשיריה שעוסקים במפגשים בין בני אדם, ביחסי גברים ונשים ובביקורת חברתית נוקבת.
אלבום הבכורה של שחם צבא של מכשפות נותן ביטוי לקול ולכעס של נשים באשר הן ומחובר באופן מודע למסרים של תנועת #metoo, ושואב מקהילת הפייסבוק "סקס פמיניסטי" אותה היא מנהלת. השירים עוסקים בצורך של נשים להשמיע את קולן ולהתנער מהתפקידים שנכפים עליהן.
אלבום הבכורה של עדי הוקלט באווירת DIY ומינימליזם והופק יחד עם יובל רוזין, שגם מנגן באלבום, באולפן הביתי. שני הסינגלים מתוכו, הגיע ל יותר מ- 40 אלף צפיות. שירים מתוכו הושמעו בגלגלצ, כאן 88, רשת גימל, רדיו ת"א ותחנות רדיו רבות נוספות. האלבום קיבל ביקורות מפרגנות ב"הארץ", ב"מעריב" וב"כלכליסט" ונכנס לרשימת חמשת אלבומי השנה של תשע"ח ב"ישראל היום".
