"Moon in Blood" is the name of the new EP by AEIOU, the Swiss band with all ringing vowels.

AEIOU continues where they stopped before: on the dance floor, four-on-the-floor, with "Flower In Me". The new EP provides space for quietness. The theme song "Moon in Blood" is your companion on the way home after the disco. It’s like a thoughtful walk under the bloody moonlight. Until all of a sudden "Jig Is Up" turns around the corner, a car door is opening and you get firmly pushed into a leather seat on the funky ride to the next bar.

AEIOU is a Swiss-Liechtenstein pop band. Their sounds: multilayered with retro perfume. The voice: far from bombastic pathos. Their beats: pulsatile between analog and digital.

In Switzerland, AEIOU had their initial success in 2013: jubilating critics, massive airplay, even a secret spring hit with "Drifting Away". Five years later the Bern-based all-rounder Oli Kuster (also known as Züri-West keyboarder, Die Astronauten) has reactivated his project AEIOU with a new singer, the Basel based vocalist Karin Ospelt. In spring 2018 they released the EP „You Won’t“ whose main title was SRF-"Song of the week" instantly.

The new AEIOU tracks also influenced by Electro Pop. But beneath an electronically skin there is beating an analog heart, there is a depth that sets AEIOU apart from the artificial test-tube sound that overflows the daily radio rotation. Instead of being a dirty word, Pop stands for the quality. And the songs go perfectly both with the glass of champagne before and with the hangover breakfast afterwards. In Berlin as in Bümpliz. Subtle and almost uncommonly cosmopolitan.

EP "Moon in Blood", digital release on October 26, 2018.
