Slow Wave Sleep, è un progetto eclettico fondato nel 2015 da Emilio Larocca Conte. Dopo numerosi demo e collaborazioni esce L’Ultimo Uomo, album d’esordio, realizzato in home-recording e pubblicato dalla bresciana Cockroach International Production il 23 Gennaio 2018, in cui tutto il background è mescolato in una forma canzone surreale con testi in italiano. Pochi mesi dopo esce il secondo disco Chroma, che porta consapevolezza sulle potenzialità del progetto e motiva a formare una band per iniziare a promuovere SWS sui palchi d’Italia e nei contest. L’uscita è stata accompagnata dal videoclip di Elogio della Follia, prodotto grazie ad una campagna crowdfunding e proposto a Sanremo Giovani 2019 da Oblivion Production.
La musica di SWS combina dolci melodie, atmosfere oniriche, sfuriate punk, orchestrazioni classiche e visioni cinematografiche in un mix “liquido”, perché un suono, come l’acqua, adatta l’idea a qualsiasi contenitore e nutre l’anima di chi ascolta. L’intera produzione è incentrata su Rèfles, un personaggio fittizio, e la bizzarra narrazione della vita attraverso i suoi sogni.
Emilio è anche membro dei RELIC (death metal) ed ha collaborato con Jureduré (pop/folk), OndAnomala (rock mediterraneo), Spookshow Inc. (industrial rock, Lituania), Leon Buche (Germania) e numerosi altri artisti in veste di chitarrista (tra cui Loredana Errore, Laura Bono, Manuel Foresta, Sabrina Carnevale). Inoltre, è stato assistente di produzione per i compositori Jacopo Baboni-Schilingi, Michele Tadini, Marco Biscarini, Antonio Rimedio, Daniele Furlati. Scrive colonne sonore per film, cortometraggi, videogames e musica d'ambiente.
Slow Wave Sleep, is an eclectic project founded in 2015 by Emilio Larocca Conte. After numerous demos and collaborations, L’Ultimo Uomo ,the debut album, has been produced in home-recording and published by Cockroach International Production on January 2018, absorbing the whole background of Emilio into a surreal song with Italian lyrics. A few months later, the second album Chroma is out in November 2018, bringing enough awareness of the protential of the project to form a band and start promoting SWS live. A music video of the song Elogio della Follia has been produced thanks to a crowdfunding campaign. The music of SWS aims to combine sweet melodies, dreamy atmospheres, punk outbursts, classical orchestrations and cinematic visions in a “liquid” mix because sounds, like water, adapt the idea to any container and nourish our souls. The entire production focuses on Rèfles, a fictional character and the bizarre narration of life through his dreams. Emilio is also a member of RELIC (death metal, ITA) and has collaborated with Jureduré (pop/folk, ITA), OndAnomala (mediterranean, rock, ITA), Spookshow Inc. (industrial rock, LIT), Leon Buche (pop, GER) and numerous other artists as a guitarist. Furthermore, he was a production assistant for the composers Jacopo Baboni-Schilingi, Michele Tadini, Marco Biscarini, Antonio Rimedio, Daniele Furlati. As a composer, he writes soundtracks for films, short films, videogames as well as ambient music. As a producer, he promotes cross-media project through Nilasphere.
