We are living in the 'golden era' of robotics says Tye Brady, Amazon Robotics' Chief Technologist. "Robots are not a threat to humans" he says, "they create jobs by increasing productivity." Amazon says it has built more than 100,000 “unit drive robots” that help locate, move and ship products faster than humans.
