‘I love you,’ says wife of Pulwama martyr in heartbreaking farewell

Major VS Dhoundiyal who was martyred in the encounter in Pulwama on Monday was given a hero’s send off. Thousands gathered to pay their last respects to him. His wife whispered ‘I love you’ to his mortal remains as she bid him farewell. Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat along with former CM Harish Rawat also paid their last respects to the hero. Major Dhoundiyal was among the four army men martyred as they fought Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists in Pulwama, days after the same group killed over 40 CRPF personnel in a terror attack.
