South Korea's Presidential Tripartite Commission... which discusses deals between the government, management and labor... has failed to strike a deal on the expansion of flexible working hours.
The commission extended the initial deadline of the talks by another day,... and will try to reach an agreement on Tuesday.
Businesses have called for the expansion of the current maximum length of flexible working hours of three months to one year,... yet laborers argue this could lead to wage cuts.
The outcome of the discussion will be used by the National Assembly to amend related legislation.
