Here's a progress report of the Smart Cities mission

In June 2015, when Prime Minister Modi announced India’s Smart City mission, it was met with a lot of excitement and a lot of scepticism. Almost 4 years later when you step out of your homes into the urban chaos in any city of India, you are left wondering, what is really happening under the Smart City mission? CNBC-TV18 caught up with Kunal Kumar, Director of Smart Cities mission to find whether the ambitious project has kept pace with urbanisation of our cities.
