South actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar SLAMS the casting couch!

Following the shocking news of the abduction and molestation of popular Malayalam actress Bhavana, several people from the film fraternity have been voicing their concern about the safety of women.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who is an actress and daughter of veteran Sarathkumar, tweeted her unpleasant experience of the casting couch in the industry.

Taking to Twitter, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar spoke about the programming head of a leading TV channel who made suggestive comments towards her, insinuating that she would have to lend him sexual favours for working in a movie.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar strongly took on everyone who believed that this is a phenomenon that cannot be changed. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar said that she was tired of pushing things under the carpet and said it�s high time people come out and speak against the casting couch.

Well, we applaud her for bringing this issue into the limelight and hope many follow suit!
