With Akshay Kumar's latest film Rustom exploring the nuances of extra marital affiars on screen, we take a look at some other films that have dealt with similar themes over the years.
In Humari Adhuri Kahani, Vidya Balan's extra mariatal affair with Emraan Hashmi was a heart-wrenching story about unrequited love. Raj Kumar Rao played her husband who couldn't stand the sight of his wife having feelings for anyone else.
Similarly, in the film Life in a Metro, Shilpa Shetty's characer is stuck in a lifeless bitter marriage and finds love in the arms of another man, played by Shiny Ahuja's character.
Karan Johar's larger than life drama, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna was a bold movie where Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherji, who were stuck in marriages out of obligation, are drawn towards each other after a chance meeting. While the film drew a lot of audince to the theaters, many people couldn't digest the fact that Rani's character was unfaithful in the film.
