Stand up comedian Tanmay Bhat’s snapchat video mimicking icons like Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar has sparked an outrage in the state. Not only have various celebrities like Riteish Deshmukh, Anupam Kher,
Celina Jately and Sonu Nigam spoken out against the video but various others have also expressed anger.
Recently, Lata Mangeshkar’s sisters, Asha Bhonsle and Meena Khadikar expressed their displeasure about the video too. Although Asha said that she had not seen the video, she revealed that her grandson had
informed her about the same. She was quoted saying, that she doesn't want to say much about the woman who has worked for 70 to 80 years of her life spreading joy and happiness through her music.
She further added that she now wants to see how many people stand by them as most people have a knack of debating about it for a couple of days and forgetting about it. Lata Mangeshkars other sister said that she
doesn't know who Tanmay is nor has she discussed this issue with her sister.
Well, although the two haven’t said anything against Tanmay Bhat, they are surely protective of their elder sister.
