Is Varun Dhawan Trying To Copy Shahid Kapoor And Sidharth Malhotra?

After looking at Varun Dhawan's badass looks from Badlapur, we couldn't help but notice that his role and the storyline of the film seemed inspired from Shahid Kapoor's Haider and Sidharth Malhotra's Ek Villain.
Although Varun plays a 40 year old father in the film, his bearded look short hair remind us of Shahid who played the revengeful 'Haider'that shocked and surprised the audience.
In another action scene, we were reminded of Sidharth Malhotra who received much acclaim and appreciation for this unusual role of 'Guru' in 'Ek Villain.
Although Varun has attempted to play a very different character from his previous films, we wonder if he'll be able to overpower, Shahid and Sid!
