President hails Hyundai-Gwangju JV as an innovative way to create jobs

President Moon Jae-in welcomed that joint investment deal.
He pointed out what's called "Gwangju-type jobs," will be jobs of better quality... and will take the nation closer to the goal of inclusivity.
"Gwangju-type jobs will mark a very important, historic turning point in our move toward a nation of innovative employment. They will prove that through social dialogue we can create more jobs while keeping wages at an adequate level."
The South Korean leader highlighted work created by the deal will not only prompt job-seeking young adults to return to Gwangju but also manufacturing facilities that moved overseas to return home.
President Moon added the government will actively support other municipalities that want to benchmark models involving an agreement between the local government, labor, management and people.
