S. Korea's industrial output down 0.6% m/m in December: Data

South Korea's overall industrial output dropped last month... mainly due to a fall in semiconductor production.
According to Statistics Korea, industrial output in December decreased by 0-point-6 percent from the previous month.
The agency said... the decline was due to less production in the chip and auto industries.
Semiconductor production dropped by 4-point-5 percent... due to lower demand.
Equipment investment also dropped by 0-point-4 percent...mainly in the machinery sector.
Both production and investment have declined for two consecutive months.
