NewsX broke the news first on January 18 and today, it has been confirmed. Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the congress has today appointed Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the party's general secretary for the east Uttar Pradesh region. She will formally take charge from the first week of next month.
