A South Korean man was reportedly shot dead yesterday in Tokyo in what police say appears to have been a premeditated attack.
The fatal shooting, extremely rare in Japan, occurred Monday evening at a karaoke bar in Kabukicho district.
According to local authorities, the only body found at the scene was identified as a sixty-five year old South Korean man.
His body was found on the building's fourth floor with three bullet wounds.
Police say the victim was linked to a local crime syndicate.
The suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle.
Seoul's foreign ministry confirmed the man's death... and said the South Korean consulate in Japan has requested information about the incident and will cooperate with local authorities if necessary.
