This deer makes the strangest sound

This deer was encountered while strolling through the park in Nara, Japan. He was making the most interesting squeeky noise. Before the video started filming, The film maker attempted to communicate with the deer by making his own squeeky sounds. The deer seemed to respond by squeeking back each time! It sounds almost like a squeeky door closing. Have you ever heard a deer make this kind of sound?!
