N. Korea one of world's most repressive states, Kim Jong-un in total control: HRW

North Korea remains one of the world's most repressive states and the leader Kim Jong-un is exercising almost complete political control.
That's according to a report... by international human rights organization, the Human Rights Watch.
The report says,... the Pyeongyang regime not only restricts people's civil and political freedom... but routinely uses arrest, punishment, torture and execution to maintain fear and control over its people.
Citizens are forced under harsh, unpaid labor to build infrastructure... and those repatriated from China while trying to escape to South Korea... are severely punished and tortured.
The organization urged key international actors to raise these issues.
It pointed out that, despite many summits with Kim Jong-un,... South Korea, the U.S., and China didn't bring these issues up.
