2019 Korea Grand Sale kicks off for 43-day run

It's that time of the year again
South Korea's annual "Korea Grand Sale" festival for foreigners begins today... and runs through February 28th.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism says this year's festival will offer various programs under the theme "Travel, Taste, Touch".
Around 800 companies will offer big discounts to foreign visitors.
About 70 luxury hotels are giving 25 percent discounts on food and domestic lodging companies will be slashing prices by 55 all the way up to 75 percent.
During the festival, the ministry will also set up a welcome center at the Cheonggye Plaza to provide convenience to foreigners and provide a free tourist bus service between Dongdaemun and Hongdae.
