Akhilesh Yadav meets Mayawati in Delhi, discusses possible tie-up

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday met Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati in New Delhi. Both the leaders from Uttar Pradesh met to discuss a possible tie-up between the two parties to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019. The meeting which lasted for over two hours did not involve Congress party. Sources say that Congress was ruled out from this meeting. Yadav and Mayawati discussed seat-sharing, among other issues for the upcoming elections, sources confirmed.
