A massive multi-national trade deal and successor to the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement... comes into force starting Sunday.
Six of the 11 member countries of the CPTPP,... which stands for the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, will immediately carry out the first round of tariff cuts.
That includes Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Mexico.
Vietnam will join them next month.
The CPTPP aims to eliminate 95 percent of tariffs on goods traded around the Pacific Rim.
Its members represent a combined 13-point-9-percent of global GDP.
