Nun, art historian, and unlikely TV star Sister Wendy Beckett died at the age of 88 on Wednesday.
Reuters reports that in 1992, the BBC commissioned Beckett to make “Sister Wendy’s Odyssey."
The documentary was about paintings and sculpture in six British museums.
Wearing her nun's black habit and speaking directly to the camera, she made more programs for a decade.
Sister Wendy had millions of fans in Britain and in the United States, where the programs aired on public television.
