PM Lee stresses S. Korea and Algeria can enjoy synergy effect from each other's resources

South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon is on a week-long trip to North Africa, and while in Algeria, he emphasized that it's important for South Korea and Algeria to cooperate in a range of sectors.
At a business forum Monday with government officials and business representatives from both sides,... the PM noted that Algeria is the largest country in Africa in terms of area... and that it has the continent's third biggest oil reserves.
He said that... if South Korea and Algeria were to combine their resources,... there would be be a synergy effect... from which both countries would benefit,... especially in the ICT sector.
The forum was attended by dozens of South Korean business leaders,... including the heads of steelmaker Posco and Hyundai Motor.
Algerian Prime Minister ( )Ahmed Ouyahia said... he welcomes South Korean companies investing and doing business in his country.
Prime Minister Lee is set to depart for Morocco, the second destination on his Africa.
