S. Korea's new military intel agency unveils new emblem and flag, pledges fresh start

South Korea's new military intel agency has unveiled its emblem, flag and unit song.
Tuesday's release comes as the Defense Security Support Command marked 100 days this month since its establishment in September.
Its predecessor was disbanded due to its illicit behavior,... including alleged interference in domestic politics by monitoring civilians and manipulating online comments.
It also drew up a document for the potential imposition of martial law during the peaceful protests against corrupt former President Park Geun-hye.
The new command still assumes the fundamental role of South Korea's military intelligence and security.
It insists it has eradicated all illegality from the agency... and will strongly punish anyone caught breaking the rules.
