The numerals have arrived in Times Square ready for the New Year's Eve celebration on December 31st 2018 starting at 6pm.
Not many people get to see the numerals up close, but between now and December 21 you can take a selfie with the "1" and "9" in Times Square!
The four numerals use a total of 516 9-watt energy efficient LED bulbs; the numeral “2” contains 145 bulbs, the “0” contains 164 bulbs, the “1” contains 72 bulbs, and the “9” contains 135 bulbs.
Each numeral is 7 foot high and has to be hoisted to the top of One Times Square and installed underneath the New Year's Eve Ball. They will be illuminated as the world watches live, at the stroke of midnight.
