New Hero Maestro Edge 125 full specification and features.

Hero Motorcorp has unveiled the Hero Maestro Edge 125 i3S at the Auto Expo 2018. The new scooter comes with improved design and a larger 125 CC engine. The scooter gets a masculine design with large wheels, telescopic front suspension, attractive alloy wheels and large reflector headlamps.The size of the seat is quite large for a comfortable ride. The seating position is well thought of and the leg room is also ample. This scooter will be comfortable for tall people as well. It has many attractive design elements like blackened exhaust, blackened grab rails which are large on the side. There is also a styling and the rather large in size rear tail lamp cluster which has in-built turn indicators. It gets a sleek body with sharp creases. The five-spoke diamond-cut black alloy wheels, huge LED tail lights, faux air vents on the front apron and the split design tail lights add to the visual appeal of the scooter. The scooter will be offered in red and blue, matte finish colour schemes. The Maestro Edge 125 is powered by a 125cc, single cylinder, 4-Stroke, OHC engine that makes 8.85PS of max power at 6,750rpm and a peak torque of 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a CVT gearbox. The engine comes with Hero’s i3S idle start-stop technology, which turns the engine off after being idle for more than 10 secs. This increases the fuel-efficiency of the scooter. The scooter is expected to return a mileage of 53 kmpl, as per company claims. Suspension setup comprises of telescopic front forks and single shock absorber at the rear. It comes fitted with drum brakes at both ends, however, a front disc option is available. Hero Motocorp will launch the scooter in early 2019, in two variants - Standard and Disc (front disc), which are likely to be priced at Rs 51,000 and Rs 53,000 respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). As a reminder, the 125cc version of the Maestro Edge was first previewed at the Auto Expo in February 2018. As far as launch is concerned, the company had announced that it will roll out the scooter in the second quarter of the 2018-19 financial year.
