Winter Chub Fishing - Warwickshire Avon River Campaign - 2/2/18 (Video 62)

After a couple of weeks of unseasonably warm and persistent rain, turning the usually sedate Avon into a torrent of "coffee", the precipitation abated and the river began to return to a more co-operative condition just in time for my usual Friday afternoon session.

On arriving I found the river in fantastic fettle and it looked perfect for some winter action. However my heart sank as I took the water temperature, noting a fall of 1.5 degrees over the previous 48 hours. This dictated that things would be far from easy.

Of course, we fished anyway...
