Inhabitants of the Sierra Leone village of Koryardu complain about how they are yet to see any benefits or improvements to their life after a diamond they handed over for auction fetched $6.5 million (5.7 million euros) a year ago. They handed the stone over to the government to be sold, in the hope that it would generate money to be ploughed back into developing the local community.
