New Nasa spacecraft lands on Mars
Nasa’s new spacecraft InSight successfully landed on Mars on November 26, after surviving a high-speed approach and extreme heat entering the red planet’s atmosphere – an entry the US space agency called “six-and-a-half minutes of terror”.
InSight’s got to work several minutes after landing, taking a picture to show scientists at ground control what they’re up against. The spacecraft’s missions include measuring the internal heat of Mars and listening for possible “marsquakes.”
