Paris Protests Face Tear Gas And Water Cannons From Police

Police in Pairs used tear gas and water cannon against protestors on the Champs Elysées. They have a security perimeter in the city’s center with 3,000 officers containing 8,000 protestors. These “yellow vest” protests began fighting against rising gas prices but has grown into something bigger. Now, these people are protesting the government of President Emmanuel Macron. According to CNN, the protests highlight the tensions between the metropolitan elite and rural poor.
