Forbes revealed ‘Becoming’ has sold over 700,000 copies in its first day and 725,000 across all formats. Liz Harwell, Barnes & Noble Senior Director of Merchandising, said it’s “the must-have book of the holiday season.” “We knew Becoming was going to be one of the biggest books of the year, but it has now officially had the best first week of sales of any book in 2018, and is among the fastest sellers in Barnes & Noble history.” - Liz Harwell, via statement ‘Becoming’ is the fastest selling book since Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ sequel ‘Go Set A Watchman.’ The memoir’s publisher, Penguin Random House, printed 1.8 million hardcover copies for the first run, and have ordered a second printing of 800,000 copies. Obama’s ‘Becoming’ is currently available in English, Spanish and is expected to be translated into 31 languages.
