New presidential policy chief says economic team will work 'as one'

President Moon's newly appointed chief of staff for policy, Kim Soo-hyun, says the government's economic team announced last Friday will continue on with the foundation laid by their predecessors, which pursued income-led, innovative growth and fairness.
Speaking to reporters for the first time since being appointed to his new job,... Kim said the Moon administration's economy-related staff will work as "one team," with the finance minister in charge.
Take a listen.

"I will actively support the Cabinet so it can meet the needs of the people in a timely manner. And I will not put off pending issues. I promise I'll work to make this an administration that responds quickly -- one that listens and manages issues responsibly."

Kim added that he will do his utmost to use policy to realize the administration's vision of an "inclusive nation,"... and work to handle the issues facing the nation like income inequality, low growth and the low birth rate.
