Dunkin' Built a Tiny Home
Powered by Coffee The java-powered home is 275-square-feet with a full kitchen, bedroom and king size bed. The home was unveiled in New York City, before being made available to rent in Massachusetts. It was listed on Airbnb and reservations immediately filled up. The booking allowed for up to two guests to stay for just $10 per night and receive unlimited access to coffee. To come up with a coffee-powered energy system, Dunkin' partnered with Blue Marble Biomaterials. The company takes wasted resources and converts them into fuel. Blue Marble took the oil from 65,000 pounds of coffee grounds and converted it into biofuel. A single gallon of fuel requires around 170 pounds of spent coffee grounds.
