BJP Jammu Secretary Anil Kumar Parihar and brother gunned down

At around 8.30pm, yesterday an unknown gunman shot dead Anil Kumar Parihar, J&K BJP secretary, and his brother Ajeet Parihar. Sec 144 has been imposed in Kishtwar and the situation is highly tense in the area. A joint team of army and special operations group has launched a massive search operation in the area. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has also ordered imposition of curfew in the district. The BJP had recently emerged as a clear winner in the Jammu municipal corporation elections held in October with 43 seats in the 75-member body.
