US has the 'dumbest immigration laws': President Trump

President Donald Trump said the US has the "dumbest immigration laws anywhere in the world." He reiterated his assault on Democrats as the ones responsible for the nation's immigration woes, citing what he calls a "catch and release" system. Trump also referenced the Central American migrant caravan, estimated to include more than 7,000 people, which has been traveling north toward the U.S. border. Trump was addressing a group of local elected officials from California, Alaska and Hawaii who had been invited to Washington for a State Leadership Day event.
