Here's how Ryan Gosling went from being the least talented Mouseketeer to a box office-dominating heartthrob.

Ryan Gosling is one of those Hollywood celebrities everyone loves. Born in Canada, he moved to the U.S. and joined the “Mickey Mouse Club” alongside Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera. But Gosling wasn't used as much as his Mickey Mouse Club co-stars.

You might not remember, but Ryan Gosling was in “Remember the Titans.” But it wasn't until he starred in “The Notebook” alongside Rachel McAdams that the world started seeing him as a leading man. McAdams and Gosling butted heads on set, but eventually entered a short-lived relationship after “The Notebook” premiered.

He would continue portraying a leading man in movies like “Blue Valentine” with Michelle Williams, “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” and “La La Land,” the latter two opposite Emma Stone. The musical “La La Land” received critical acclaim and begat that infamous Oscars Best Picture mix-up.

Gosling also worked with Steve Carell on “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” whom he would later work with again in
“The Big Short.”

Some of Gosling's other acclaimed recent work includes “A Place Beyond the Pines,” where his off-screen relationship with Eva Mendes bloomed, and most recently “First Man,” where he portrays astronaut Neil Armstrong. Ryan Gosling has definitely proven himself to be more than just the guy from “The Notebook,” and we can't wait to see what he does next.
