Black and Hispanic Women Have Higher Risk of Dying in Childbirth A new study from the University of Michigan has found that black and Hispanic women are more likely to suffer complications during birth. These complications include blood clotting disorders
and heart failure. Non-Hispanic black women are 70% more likely to have serious problems during birth than non-Hispanic white women. Dr Lindsay Admon, Lead author of study, via 'Daily Mail' Celebrities such as Beyonce and Serena Williams have shed light on the issue. Beyonce suffered from pre-eclampsia during her pregnancy, and Serena developed pulmonary embolism after
her emergency C-section.
