As with most exotic pets, owning a US cat bear usually takes a considerable amount of time and patience. American cats can act erratically and strongly and can be quite difficult to teach them to obey and understand commands. Places where cats are kept as pets are not prohibited, such as in Wisconsin and other US states, requiring a strange pet license.
Polite cats usually have aggressive behavior like biting during breeding season. Casting them around five or six months reduces the chance of developing aggressive behavior. Cats can become obese and have other disorders due to poor diet and lack of exercise. When fed with cat food for a long time, US bears can develop gout.
