2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class received the new 9G-Tronic 9-Speed Transmission for C300 and C300 4-Matic models. While 2018 C350e Electric Hybrid still retains the 7G-Tronic 7-Speed Transmission. The new gearbox increased and improved the driving comfort, fuel efficiency, and quiet driving. Also 2018 C-Class has better acceleration MPH went from 6.0 sec to 5.8 sec. in 2018.

But the question is: How many gears are too many? Since too many gears on the new transmission, they are trying to shift as fast as possible - to save some gas. But that makes hills up and down, or the heavy cornering drives very uncomfortable. So I demonstrated that it's better to shift the Dynamic SELECT from C-Comfort to S-Sport mode, than trying to use the shifting paddles on the steering wheel. That will slow down the shifting and will increase the handling comfort.

In 2018 C-Class gets Power Sunroof as Standard equipment, which was absent in 2015-2017 models. Panorama Sunroof is still available as option.

C350e Hybrid now comes with LED headlights as standard equipment, while C300 has it as an option. You can get it without any packages, so it saves you money.

2017 C-Class Sport Package has been renamed to AMG-Line, which already includes the rear spoiler. But top dash with stitches is now optional as stand alone option.

2018 C-Class will finally get the Smartphone Integration package, which includes Apple Car Play and Android Auto. This package will go into production in Autumn of 2017. This video shows a little demo of Android Auto Voice Control.

Mercedes Luxury model, C-Class with Luxury package has been discontinued as of 2018 models. Also C350e Blue calipers and blue headlights trim are eliminated on 2018 models.

Burmester Sound System is available as a stand alone option now...
